Welcome to our Brooklyn College Grad Class' Final Projects
The teachers in this class worked diligently to produce lessons for their classes that encompassed a multi-cultural component and the ability to network with people from all over the world. The students from their classes worked on projects in virtual worlds, on e-pals, on blogs, on Skype, on videos, and more. They communicated with artists, students, museum curators, professionals from universities, college athletes, charities and with people who speak other languages other than english - People from all over the world. Students learned about these artists and created projects inspired by the works of the artists. Examples of student work has been posted on the blog as well as videos of students in class. Students were asked to visit the blog with their families and post comments on the blog. Students from other school districts, teachers and student teachers, also commented on the blog. Below is the link to my Kiva.org research project outline, etc. We finished up this project by raising over $1,500 and creating over 18 Kiva loans. We have continued this project with a Kiva Club, where we will continue to raise money and make loans -- perpetually.

Below is the link to my EDUC 7207X blog. Florence and I put together a Kiva Research Project for the 10th grade. Students were responsible for researching and writing a paper about the country of a borrower on Kiva. Students then needed to rally for their loan and raise money as a class. The best presentation was given the privilege of choosing which loan the class money would be donated to.

This class really gave us an opportunity to create this project. Without this class I'm not sure that Kiva would have been such a success.
